Celebrating 100 Years of The Banting discovery foundation

In 2025, the Banting Discovery Foundation proudly marks its 100th anniversary – a century of championing budding early-career scientists and bold biomedical discovery in Canada. To celebrate this remarkable milestone, the Foundation hosted a centennial event on May 29th, bringing together Banting Award winners from across the decades, including recipients dating back to 1980. Set against a stunning waterfront view of the city skyline, the evening featured live music, fine catering, and heartfelt reflections on a legacy of discovery that continues to shape the future of health. Most importantly, we extend our sincere thanks to all our supporters who have helped make this century of impact possible.
