Celebrating 100 Years of the Banting Discovery Foundation

“The Banting award let me get started on my research program. From the biobank and protocols we built with that funding, we were able to expand, obtaining funding from the Canadian Cancer Society, NSERC and the Terry Fox Research Institute (I was the first ever New Investigator in Atlantic Canada). These were awards obtained shortly after the work of my Banting award, but the imprints last even now, and further into many more fundings and opportunities!”
